Some portfolio pieces.
Work I did for an MA collab, doing most of the camerawork and a bit of editing.
At the end of the day you must look at your past work and think what could be better.
During my HND year I ended up working on a sketch show, that was at first a 4 person sketch show but soon became a 2 person project.
I enjoyed the framing that had to go on due to our limited time and space.
Its not anything remarkable but I still have fond memories.
Shadow scenes
Some work done for a brief relating to Imax cinema's with the request of not using copyrighted material, I recreated generic scenes from different genre's using lighting effects and Drop shadows.
Alongside this I created a more simplistic version which also fit the brief.
Social regrowth
I did this piece based off of the book The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, Creating images out of type, in particular quotes about not ostracizing those for being different, growing as human beings and the younger generation surviving the old and learning from their mistakes while accepting one another.
It has ties to the current conflict in Ukraine as a catalyst for a large scale person or nation that is making a mistake (Russia) and that having "the power of gods in the hands of children" is believe it or not, terrible.
Some work I did for my employer at the time just trying to streamline the intro video and caption it.
A video essay on the movie Creep, done during my early course years.
Another project done as a bit of a documentary piece, I tried making it as if it were a form of interactive that you would find at a museum.
I have been doing Audiobooks for an number of months, recording and throwing them up due to these books not being in print run anymore. Off of this I hope to learn more about Youtube shorts culture. Also want to play around with creating puppet like edits.
I also did some work with a veteran around the area who wanted to start a YouTube channel
I'm always finding some reason to work on something different, usually based on something that I've seen, read or thought up here are just a few.
